FAQs

I am new to therapy. What does a typical session look like?

Welcome! A typical session lasts 55 minutes. You have the option of meeting virtually or in person at my office.

During sessions, we will work together to identify, and progress towards the goals you have for yourself. What you want for yourself, and what you share, is important to me.

Often times our weekly frustrations, stressors, and triggers are interconnected and can be related to our ultimate goals in therapy. It’s my job to shed light on these connections. I’m here to help you build awareness and resilience to meet your ongoing goals.

How will I know you’re the right fit?

The bond with your therapist is important for your therapy progress. You should feel at ease and trust your therapist. Though tough talks may happen, you should feel secure discussing them within session. I provide a free 15-minute consultation for those considering therapy to see if we're a good fit.

How long does therapy last?

I tell everyone this really depends on the individual! The length of time varies greatly between clients. It is dependent on what issues they are working through and how long they’d like to spend in therapy. My aim is to help you become secure, empowered, and regularly use strategies to sustain the progress you've made in your personal growth.

Do you take insurance?

I am currently accepting new clients with the following insurance companies:

CDPHP (Capital District Physicians Health Plan)

Highmark BCBS/BSNENY (BlueShield of Northeast NY)
